¿Sabías que Giethoorn no tiene carreteras? Sus habitantes se desplazan en barco por los canales, por eso esta localidad neerlandesa también es conocida como la “Venecia verde”.

Saliendo desde​ Á​msterdam, atravesaremos la provincia de Flevoland y el Parque Nacional Weerriben - Wieden hasta llegar a Giethoorn. Allí disfrutaremos de un paseo en barco de 1 hora para contemplar la belleza y magia del lugar, las antiguas granjas con techos de paja y los puentes de madera. También tendremos tiempo libre para hacer fotos, pasear tranquilamente y llenar el estómago en uno de sus excelentes restaurantes (el almuerzo no está incluido). De camino a Enkhuizen pararemos en el puerto de Lelystad para contemplar la réplica del “Batavia”(galeón del siglo XVII de la Compañía Holandesa de las Indias Orientales) y la famosa estatua “Exposure”, de Antony Gormley.

Cruzaremos de Flevoland a Holanda del Norte por el “Houtribdijk”, dique que comunica ambas provincias y que divide los lagos Ijsselmeer y Markermeer. Por último, visitaremos Enkhuizen, ciudad clave en la Edad de Oro holandesa y donde el tiempo parece haberse detenido. Sus canales, puentes, edificios históricos y el puerto hace de ella una de las poblaciones más bonitas de los Países Bajos..
