Crewed by a team of skilled and knowledgeable sports fishermen, our Kaua’i sport fishing charters take you on the blue Pacific Ocean aboard the 34-foot LAHELA – the only fishing boat certified by the United States Coast Guard in operation on Kauai today. In addition, LAHELA is the only boat inspected and approved to take up to 14 passengers.

Lahela Sport Fishing guarantees to be the best equipped and experienced sport fishing operation on Kauai. All of our tackle is guaranteed to be in perfect working condition and our reels, packed full of line. We offer you:

  • No saltwater fishing license required
  • All your tackle and expert instruction is provided
  • A light lunch (sandwich & chips) or a deluxe catered lunch can be arranged for an additional charge upon request on our private fishing charters that are 6 hours or longer. Contact us for arrangement.
  • Minimum age requirement for private offshore fishing charters is 7 yrs.
  • Minimum age requirement for private small game kids charters is 5 yrs.
  • No pregnant women, anyone with a history of health, heart, back problems, or the disabled, including anyone who has had any recent surgeries allowed on this charter.

Important Notice for Non-Resident Anglers

The State of Hawai‘i now requires a recreational fishing license for all non-resident anglers. Licenses can be purchased easily at https://fishing.hawaii.gov/ and cost $20 for a 1-day license, $40 for a 7-day license, or $70 for an annual license. Active-duty military personnel, their families, and youth under 15 are exempt.

We recommend purchasing your license before your trip to avoid any delays. If needed, you can also purchase one on your smartphone before departure.
