Everyday, Premium, Splurge – Everyone has their own price range on wine – what’s yours? Everyday $-$?, Premium $-$?, Splurge $? up to $?

Can you identify the price bracket of a wine in a blind tasting? In this class we’ll explore explore everyday and splurge wines with 3 food courses in a blind tasting to see if we can identify the splurge wine! We’ll also reveal some wines to consider if you are going for the splurge.

The price of wine is determined by a multitude of factors: Location, history, vineyard size, winemaking techniques, packaging, shipping, supply and demand, weather—drought, fires, storms, frost—that might destroy a crop. Given all that it’s pretty magical that $25 bottles are available at all.

Depending on the varietal and where it’s from, that budget-friendly buy can actually taste pretty great. There are a lot of good, delicious affordable wines out there. It takes some time and effort to find them. Not all wines are created equal and to a trained palate each is incredibly distinctive.

Our goal is to have you walk out of this class knowing when to splurge and what to splurge on when you need a mind blowing wine!
