You lift off from Kathmandu as dawn light sharpens the valley; the city folds away and the Himalaya looms, each ridge and glacier sharpening like a carved edge. The helicopter climbs, the air outside colder than the cabin, and within an hour the great white teeth of Everest and its neighbors fill the windows — Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and Pumori demand attention as the peaks push skyward.

Most tours perform flyovers of EBC and Kala Patthar; landings are usually at Everest View Hotel or nearby high points depending on weather and government rules—direct landings at EBC itself are uncommon.
Operators require accurate passenger weights; policies vary but heavy passengers should inform the company—infants must sit on laps and pregnant travelers are generally not recommended to fly.

Acclimatization is less critical on a short flight because exposure is brief, but if you plan to trek afterward allow time at altitude and heed any symptoms of altitude sickness.
