The Advanced Intermediate Fighting Handgun Class is a 4-hour course focused on safety, marksmanship, and various shooting techniques. Participants must have prior skills and specific gear, and the class concludes with a skills test to advance to higher-level courses.

Advanced Intermediate Handgun Class Covering: Safety/Safe Gun Handling, Dynamic application of marksmanship fundamentals, Drawing from Holster (Open &/or Concealed) , Shooting while moving, Multiple target/Multiple Distance Engagements, Intro Concept of Speed, Use of Barricades, Unconventional Shooting Positions, Non-Standard Response drills, Reload drills, Malfunction drills, 1-hand Shooting drills, Strategic Thinking/Planning and Fighting – expounding on Defensive Fighting Handgun mindset.
Concludes with HG201 Skills Test (Passing is required to advance/attend next-level courses).
Students must be able to stand, crouch, kneel, and move swiftly between firing positions.
Gear Requirements: Semi-automatic handgun, at least THREE magazines, Sturdy holster (open or concealed carry) and mag pouches. (No soft, collapsible holsters for this course.) Eye & Electronic Hearing Protection, Speed loader strongly recommended, and a Minimum of 200 rounds of training ammunition. Note-taking material and a desire to learn and develop your skill set.
Participants must bring their own handgun, holster, and ammunition to fully participate.
Arizona’s dry climate requires you to drink plenty of water before and after the course.
Choose layered, breathable clothing and closed-toe shoes for comfort and safety during shooting drills.
Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early to finish registration and safety briefings without rush.
