A low sun paints the ochre walls of Diabat as horses pick their way from the village alleys toward the Atlantic. Riders move out past the ruined Dar Sultan palace, follow a slow river threaded with reeds, and emerge into open dunes where the sea announces itself in a briny wind.

The guided experience lasts about two hours and departs from the stables near Diabat village; pickup is arranged from the main street in Diabat.
No formal experience is required, but riders should have basic control and comfort on a horse; guides adjust pace for mixed groups.
Riding caps/helmets are provided; the operator advises against participation for pregnant travelers and those with serious back or heart conditions.
You may spot migratory waders and, in appropriate seasons, flamingos on the river flats, along with coastal birds and occasional grazing goats.
