Pony Pals offers an engaging introduction to riding for children aged 6 and up, blending pony care with a 45-minute riding lesson. In small groups, kids learn to safely handle and groom ponies while building confidence. Each first-time rider receives a certificate, making this a memorable experience for young horse enthusiasts.
Pony Pals is a suitable riding class for all Beginner & Novice Children from 6 years of age.
The class combines pony care with riding in and is a fantastic and fun way to introduce children to riding. Children get an introduction into safely handling & grooming a 40min riding lesson with a lead out along the country lane. This type of class helps the child’s confidence and is a great way to introduce horse mad children to the sport of riding. Certificate awarded to all first time riders. Classes are held in small groups of 4 children. This experience can also be booked as a private one to one session.
Total of 1hr 15min 30 min Intro and Pony Prep & Grooming and Handling 45 min hour Pony Riding Lesson & Walk Out.
All children must between the ages of 6 - 15yrs.
Any special requirements/needs/medical issues must be declared when booking. Acceptance of a booking with special requirements will be subject to whether Donegal EC have a suitable pony, equipment and staff to conduct the session safely.
Ensure children wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes and helmets provided by the centre.
Bring water and take breaks to keep kids comfortable during the lessons.
