About This Adventure

Experience the thrill of horseback riding in a one-hour session designed for beginners. Learn essential skills like catching, leading, and riding a horse while focusing on balance in an English saddle. With expert guidance and a friendly atmosphere, this activity promises a memorable introduction to the world of equestrianism.

About

Up to Five Students. One hour. Covers all aspects of riding, including catching a horse, learning to lead a horse, learning about tack, brushing, picking hooves, mounting, riding and more. Most beginning riders will learn basic fundamentals in an English saddle first to work on balance.

Included

  • Helmet (helmets are required for riders under 18).

What to bring

  • A Water Bottle for your rider.
  • Sunscreen. (We have sunscreen if you forget)
  • A Camera. You’ll kick yourself if you don’t.
  • A Helmet for Horseback Riding if you have one. If not, we do.
  • A Coat, if necessary.
  • Horses love carrots.
  • Instructors love coffee.

What to wear

  • Long Pants (no dresses or shorts)
  • A closed-toe shoe with a heel. English Riding Boots or Cowboy Boots are preferred, but not required. NO OPEN TOED SHOES.
  • Weather-appropriate clothing
