About

Squamish is known as the recreational capital of Canada, with great hikes and a top-notch mountain biking trails. We will hike to the top of the first peak of the Stawamus Chief mountains, 700 metres above the waters of Howe Sound. It is one of the largest granite monoliths in the world. The trail is rated difficult, but the views at the top are stunning making this challenging hike worthwhile. After our descent, we’ll stop for a delicious lunch, rest our legs and then hit the trails on our bikes. The biking portion will give you a great glimpse of the wondrous nature that makes Squamish so special. At the end of our ride, we will sample one of the great microbreweries in all British Columbia before we shuttle back.

What to bring

  • Clothing: Loose fitting, comfortable clothes, or sportswear. Closed footwear, no sandals or flip-flops on all tours.
  • Layering clothes is best as Vancouver – and throughout BC – we frequently encounter changing weather conditions especially in the mountains.
  • For hikes, proper shoes such as running shoes, or hiking footwear with good support is mandatory.
  • A day backpack to carry your personal belongings.
  • Sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat for sun protection.
  • Camera or phone to take pictures.
  • Cash or credit cards for purchases along the way.
