Belleek Pottery & Visitor Centre in Belleek, Northern Ireland, preserves and presents the history and craft of Belleek Fine China. Visitors can choose short guided tours, hands-on workshops, private group visits, and themed afternoon teas that combine heritage with hospitality.
Guided tours typically run for 30 minutes and introduce the 16-step pottery process, the museum of historical artifacts, and live demonstrations by skilled craftspeople. The Morning Coffee and Guided Tour and the 30 Minute Guided Tour both offer insight into traditional techniques and the pottery’s development since 1857. Afternoon Tea and Tour and seasonal events such as the Savour the Season: Autumn Afternoon Tea include tea service with scones, sandwiches, sweet treats, and live music; the October 18th event features two sittings and a 25% discount at the Belleek Pottery shop.
The Hands on Experience spans approximately two hours, combining a guided tour with practical instruction alongside a master craftsperson; participants receive their handmade piece by post. Private group bookings can include tailored activities such as glazing demonstrations and collaborative pottery sessions. The visitor centre overlooks Lough Erne, offering scenic views that complement the museum exhibits and factory walkthroughs. A retail shop on site sells Belleek tableware, allowing visitors to purchase authentic pieces and souvenirs to take home after or during tours.
