A cool wind off the Grand River slaps the cliff face and the limestone answers with a sharp echo as your tube hits the current. On day one you step off a shuttle into a pocket of raw river country: high cliffs rise seventy feet above the water, a small beach at the quarry invites a quick swim, and the trailhead to the Stone Bridge lookouts waits with a steep, rock-strewn approach.

Suitable for beginners and people in average physical condition — expect short hikes, basic campsite movement, and repeated tubing runs.
No — tents, sleeping bags and pads are provided and guides teach basic camping skills; first-timers are welcome.
The limestone quarry is spring-fed and can be noticeably cool even on warm days; plan for shorter swims and bring warm layers after swimming.
