Pickup is usually around 5:30 a.m. from Mirissa/Weligama/Tangalle and the excursion runs most of the day, returning in the evening (roughly 12–14 hours total).
No special fitness is required, but moderate fitness helps for short hikes, stairs and walking on uneven terrain at viewpoints and the falls.
Swimming is possible in calmer conditions, but rocks are slippery and currents can be strong—only swim where it’s safe and preferably with a companion or guide present.
