The catamaran slips away from Puerto Calero as the sun leans toward the ocean, its electric motors whispering against the hull. Foam flashes alongside the bow and, if luck holds, a pod of dolphins will rise and break the surface like punctuation marks in the fading light. On deck you can feel the last warmth of the day and the cool breeze that the island’s volcanic ridges push out to sea.
