You slide into a compact Renault Twizy, its open sides letting the cool Dutch air braid with the scent of freshly turned soil and early flowers. The two-seat electric vehicle hums away from the small rental hub and onto narrow country lanes where hedgerows give way to wide views over reclaimed polder and the ribbon of bulb fields that paint the ground in seasonal color.
