Morning light slices through pine and oak as the minivan winds east from San Cristóbal de las Casas toward a corridor of volcanic highlands. You step out at El Chiflón with river spray on your face; the short trail threads past cataracts—El Sispiro, Ala de Ángel, Arco Iris and Quinceañera—before the main attraction, Velo de Novia, drops in a single curtain roughly 120 meters high, demanding attention and a steady footing.
