You arrive after a long, rumbling drive; the 4x4 drops you where the road gives way to rainforest and the air tilts toward the sound of falling water. Bright spray hangs in the trees and the river ahead dares you closer—two curtains of water carving a deep notch through ancient basalt, one constant, one seasonal, both loud enough to rearrange conversation.
