A United Nations speaker can travel to your location. This will enable your participants to deepen their knowledge on a range of topics -- from peacekeeping and human rights to the Sustainable Development Goals, as well as a general overview on the work of the Organization and its history. !.

Outside Speaking Engagements

• Outside Speaking Engagements are designed for a range of groups, including students (high school and above), educators, civic and business leaders, NGOs, etc.
• Please request your outside speaking engagement 8 weeks in advance.
• Generally, a minimum of 75 participants is required (unless UN4U, see below).
• While UN speakers may not accept honoraria, the inviting organization is asked to cover the speaker’s travel, terminal expenses, lodging and hospitality costs, if applicable.

What is UN4U?

• UN4U engages students to take an interest in global issues by having UN officials visit their high schools. Through UN4U, you can request for an expert speaker to travel to your school in New York City (all five boroughs) and the Tri-State region, to share information on the UN's work in a range of specialized areas.
• Please request your UN4U request 8 weeks in advance
• Generally, a minimum of 40 participants is required.
• While UN speakers may not accept honoraria, the inviting organization is asked to cover the speaker’s travel, terminal expenses, and hospitality costs, if applicable.

Rates for 2025

Outside Speaking Engagements (45 to 60 min.)

The administrative fee is $300.00 per outside speaking engagement. You will be charged once it is confirmed, at the latest 3 days before it takes place.
