Morning light slides off Edinburgh’s stone roofs as the coach pulls away from Castle Terrace and heads north, the city giving way to rolling farmland and then the sharper line of the Highlands. Travelers spend most of the day on the road, but the landscape keeps shifting—lochshore reflections breaking the monotony, mountains pressing in, and the viaduct itself appearing like a carved ribbon across the valley.

No. The tour visits viewpoints along the Jacobite Steam Train route but does not include train tickets; the train is operated by a separate company and runs seasonally (typically May–September).
The full day is about 12 hours (approximately 735 minutes) and departs from Castle Terrace, Edinburgh (outside the NCP Car Park). Arrival at the meeting point 15 minutes early is recommended.
The tour is mostly coach-based with short walks at viewpoints; collapsible wheelchairs with removable wheels can be accommodated if the passenger has assistance to board and disembark.
