Description:

Experience the beauty of South Lake Tahoe’s wetlands on a peaceful 2-hour guided Eco Canoe Tour. Paddle through the calm marshes of the Truckee River in a classic-style canoe while learning about local wildlife, plants, and the lake’s unique ecosystem. Perfect for small families and nature lovers, this gentle afternoon tour offers a chance to spot birds, beavers, and maybe even coyotes during the golden hour before sunset.


Level of Difficulty: This tour is suitable for beginners. Level of Experience: This tour is suitable for beginners. Duration: 2 Hour Tour (2.5 Hour Activity Time)


Rates and Limitations:

Seating Options: Boats can be seated for 2 or 3 guests (age and weight limitations apply). Double canoes will hold two participants in one canoe. Triple canoes will hold three participants in one canoe. Single canoes are not available for this tour. Rate is per person and determined by age and seating arrangement.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Combined weight is 500lbs per boat. Children under the age of 12 must ride in a vessel with an adult 18 years of age or older.

Per Person Rates: Adult (18+):

  • Riding in a Double: $94.00/ per person
  • Riding in a Triple: $84.00/ per person

Teen (ages 16-17):

  • Riding in a Double: $84.00/ per person
  • Riding in a Triple: $74.00/ per person

Youth (ages 12-15):

  • Riding in a Double: $74.00/ per person
  • Riding in a Triple: $64.00/ per person

Child (ages 5-11):

  • Riding in a Double: $64.00/ per person
  • Riding in a Triple: $54.00/ per person

Additional Fees: Gratuity (18% Recommended)

Booking Options:

  • Double Canoes are designed for (2) participants in one single boat.
  • Triple Canoes are designed for (3) participants in one single boat.

NOTE: Single booking options are not available at this time. It is recommended that single-riders contact our reservation office and request to be added to a wait list or paired with another single rider in a double canoe

Limitations: Company policies, age, and weight restrictions apply: Guests must be 5 years of age or older to participate in activity. Children under the age of 12 must ride in a boat with an adult 18 year of age or older. The total combined weight limit for boats must not exceed 500 lbs. Pets are not permitted on this tour.

Recommendations:

What to Wear: Guests should wear light layers as well as low profile footwear such as sandals or sneakers. No heavy boots or heels will be permitted in the canoes. We highly recommend bringing a jacket for afternoon and evening activities.

Please note: While our guests tend to stay relatively dry during this experience, all participants and belongings are subject to getting wet. Clearly Tahoe is not responsible for any lost or damaged items. Electronics and valuables should be left in a safe place.


Instructions:

Check-In: Guests MUST arrive to our Clearly Tahoe Keys Marina Shop 30 minutes prior to scheduled activity for check-in. All participants must complete electronic liability waivers prior to departure. Guests who miss their scheduled check in might miss their tour. Missed tours are non-refundable.

PLEASE NOTE: There is a mandatory check-in for this tour. All guests must arrive to our Clearly Tahoe Keys Marina Shop in South Lake Tahoe, CA for check-in no less than 30 minutes prior to departure. Please see confirmation email for more information.

Location: Our Clearly Tahoe Keys Marina Shop is located within the Tahoe Keys Marina in South Lake Tahoe, CA. Our shop can be found by entering the marina and driving past Mariners Express towards the boat ramp. Our shop is located around the corner from Captain’s Corner and can be identified by the "Clearly Tahoe" sign above the door.

Parking: Parking within the Tahoe Keys Marina area can be difficult between 10am and 4pm during the summer season. We nightly recommend ride-shares and public transportation options when possible. Lake Link is highly recommended. Guests who attempt to drive to the Tahoe Keys Marina should allow extra time to find parking and be prepared to walk a longer distance if necessary.
