You roll out onto the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail with Cook Inlet on your right and a serried line of mountains pressing the horizon. The wind off the water pushes at your jacket; the eBike does the heavy work so you can lift your gaze to gulls wheel and a distant glacier-lit spine of peaks. In two hours a guide paces the ride, pointing out intertidal flats, migrating shorebirds and the jagged skyline of the Chugach range.
