This year marks the 20th anniversary of our popular Easter Bunny Trains! These trains are sell-outs every year with a fun Easter egg hunt and perfect way to celebrate the holiday. This newer tradition in the Hocking Valley is a favorite of kids of all ages.
Two diesel-powered trains depart Nelsonville on Saturday, April 19, with one at 11 a.m. and the second at 2 p.m.
Each train will travel to the end of our line at East Logan before returning to Nelsonville. Along the way back, the train will stop at the Easter Bunny’s secret destination where the egg hunt will take place!
Areas for different age groups will be set up, and at the announcement to go, all of the kids will take off through their assigned areas and collect Easter eggs. Inside the eggs will be prizes and candy to be picked up at the prize tent.nOnce all of the activities are completed, everyone will re-board the train for the remainder of the trip back to the Nelsonville Depot.
Tickets for children are the same price across each category, but they are broken up into age groups to help us properly place everyone in the appropriate egg hunt location.
Please note before coming…
If someone in your party needs wheelchair access, please purchase a wheelchair ticket. Due to the antique nature of our equipment, we have very limited wheelchair capacity. Upon arrival, please come inside the depot and pick up hard copies of your tickets. Your confirmation is not a ticket and you must have paper tickets to board the train. No shows will be charged the full price.
The trains are scheduled to leave promptly at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Passengers should arrive no later than 30 minutes prior to the departure. Wheelchairs should arrive closer to 45 minutes to an hour before departure.
We reserve the right to adjust our schedules as well as change motive power without advance warning.
Soft drinks and food are permitted on board.
Thank you so much, and we look forward to seeing you on board soon!
