From Funchal towards the highest mountais we allways have funchal scenery behind us, soon we arrive at the third highest mountain in Pico do Areeiro at 1818m altitude with stuning views and landscapes. After we will start our discent to Santana trougth ribeiro frio and cruzinhas, where we will see the beauty of our indigenous Laurissilva Forest was classified as UNESCO World Natural Heritage site in December 1999. Once we get to Santana we will show you the houses that keeps the original characteristics of Santana, a thatched roof and of course stoping for a lunch, after the lunch we come our way back by the eastern coast where you will be introduced once more to breathtaking views, stopping at last at the eastern point of Madeira, Ponta de São Lourenço
