Tour description

Forget the Christmas cartoons; our reindeer sleigh rides are the real deal! Sit snugly and let these famous animals lead the way on snowy trails crafted with stored snow from the previous winter. In this peaceful ride, your mind relaxes, and you can listen to the gentle sounds of nature. Following the ride, unwind by an open fire, sipping a hot drink while listening to the tales of reindeer husbandry. This tour takes you closer to the ancient Lappish way of life, leaving you not only richer in experiences but also richer in knowledge.

• 1-2 km reindeer sleigh ride

Please note

Our reindeer farm is located a few minutes’ walk from the resort.

To ensure an even load for the reindeer, our guides carefully allocate seats in the sleighs. Our primary goal is to seat families and parties together whenever possible.

The rides take place at a leisurely walking pace, with our guide steering the sleigh by walking alongside the reindeer.

How do I get to the activity?

If you stay at Apukka Resort:

• Arrive at the meeting point 10 min. before the start of the activity.

If you need transportation:

• The price of the activity includes transfers to and from Apukka Resort with our shuttle bus.
• The bus stops are located at Rovaniemi city center and Santa Claus Village’s bus stop, situated by the main road (Road E75).
• Choose the pick-up point during the booking process.
• You will receive an email with the pick-up details.
• Please be at the bus stop at least 10 minutes before the given departure time.
• The transfer won’t wait, so punctuality is essential!
• If you’re late for the transfer, the tour won’t be refunded.

If you arrive by car:

• You can park your car in Apukka’s parking lot (Tutkijantie 28, Rovaniemi).
• Arrive at least 20 min before the activity starts.
• Pick up your winter gear from the Apukka Adventures dressing room.
• Wait at the meeting point until the tour begins.
