Adventure Tips

Pack layered clothing

Mountain temperatures can vary greatly; layers allow you to stay comfortable from chilly mornings to warmer afternoons.

Use bear-resistant containers

Keep food secure and minimize wildlife encounters by storing all edibles in bear-proof containers or your vehicle.

Check ATV trail conditions

The Northern NH ATV Trail system may be muddy or slippery after rain, so verify trail status before heading out.

Bring a reliable headlamp

Nighttime in the woods can be very dark; a good headlamp ensures safe movement around the campsite after sunset.
