The tour begins where the city still breathes with ruins: you meet at Torre Argentina, mount your e-bike and push off onto the Appian Way, the basalt-paved artery that once carried legions and merchants south. Cobbles click under the tires, umbrella pines lean over a sun-faded road, and the city's noise recedes into a chorus of crickets and distant church bells.
