About the Tour From iconic landmarks like the Duomo to the cobblestone streets of Brera, this walking tour explores the heart of Milan through its food traditions—while taking in the city’s architecture, art, design, and everyday culture along the way. Designed with first-time visitors in mind, this is the ultimate introduction to Milan’s vibrant culinary scene. We’ll stop at a historic pasticceria, a classic aperitivo bar and restaurant, a beloved gelateria, and a local pizzeria—sampling everything from panettone and risotto to Milanese-style pizza, bold bitter aperitivi, and artisanal gelato. You’ll hear the stories behind these flavors and meet the people keeping Milan’s food culture alive. This isn’t just a sightseeing stroll, it’s a flavorful deep dive into how the city eats, drinks, designs, and celebrates. After this tour, you’ll never think of Milan as “just fashion” again.

Your Guide We collaborate with expert guides—food enthusiasts who truly live and breathe this city. Our team includes writers, researchers, and culinary professionals who bring both deep knowledge and genuine passion to every tour. Each guide has a rich understanding of Milan and Lombardia’s food history, regional traditions, and evolving culinary culture—not just within Italy, but in a global context. Many contribute to respected food publications or work directly in the industry, and all are committed to continuous learning. We regularly explore new historical research, track regional trends, and stay tuned to what’s unfolding in Milan’s dynamic food scene. It’s all part of our mission to offer tours that are not only delicious, but thoughtful, well-informed, and designed for curious eaters who want more than just a bite.

What's Included? All tours include five curated stops, rich food history and cultural insights, and an introduction to Milan through the lens of its culinary traditions. Along the way, we’ll taste iconic local specialties: risotto, panettone, coffee, gelato, and pizza, each one telling a story about the city and the people who keep its food culture alive. One cocktail is included in this tour.

What's Not Included? Additional drinks besides water and a cocktail aren’t included in the tour price, but you’re welcome to purchase them along the way. Gratuities aren’t required, but they’re always appreciated if you enjoyed the tour.

Weather & Attire All tours run rain or shine. Please remember to wear comfortable shoes and dress appropriately, as we will be spending most of the tour outdoors.

What To Bring? We recommend bringing a refillable water bottle. Milan’s tap water is clean and easy to access—we’ll even stop by a fontanella, one of the 800+ public fountains around the city where you can fill up like a local. It’s also a good idea to bring some cash if you’d like to buy drinks along the way or tip your guide.

Accessibility This tour is wheelchair accessible. Restrooms will also be available to customers at least one stop.

Dietary Restrictions This tour highlights classic Milanese cuisine, and we partner with exceptional venues that are often unable to accommodate allergies or dietary restrictions. If you have specific needs—such as vegetarian—please email us in advance. While we can’t guarantee substitutions on public tours, we’ll do our best to include at least one option that works for you. If you're vegan or gluten-free, ask us about booking a private tour—we may be able to tailor an experience just for you.
