You arrive before dawn and the desert is already moving: the dunes breathe and shift as wind pulls sand into ridges, and the first light shoulders its way across every grain. A private 4x4 slips over humps of ochre while the driver times the crest for a sunrise that turns the landscape molten. The morning hush is broken by the soft rattle of a camel’s hooves and the whoop of a dune-bashing run that pushes you forward and back like the sea.
