THE ADVENTURE COLLECTIVE® · Independent discovery and booking for outdoor travel

Read the full experience

The day begins with air-conditioned comfort as the city wakes: glass towers catch the sun, the creek slips boats like pens across ink, and the driver eases into traffic toward the Burj Khalifa. You move through modern Dubai—marina promenades and engineered islands—then cut back toward Old Dubai, where the Gold and Spice Souqs spill scent and color into narrow alleys.

Adventure tips

Beat the heatSchedule morning or late‑afternoon departures in summer to avoid peak temperatures and harsh midday light for photos.

Dress for respectWear shoulders- and knee-covering clothing when visiting mosques and traditional neighborhoods to respect local customs.

Carry ID and copiesBring your passport or ID for hotel pickup and any ticketed attractions; guides may need to confirm bookings.

Haggle politelyIn the Gold and Spice Souqs, bargaining is expected—offer around 60–70% of the asking price and let the seller counter.

Recommended gear

Refillable water bottle: Staying hydrated is critical—guides often provide bottled water but a refillable bottle reduces waste.
Sun protection (sunscreen, hat, sunglasses): Protects against strong sun during outdoor stops at the marina, Palm, and Souqs.
Comfortable walking shoes: Supportive shoes make short souq strolls and pavement walking more comfortable.
Light jacket or shawl: Useful for cooler evenings or air-conditioned vehicle interiors during winter months.
