Adventure tips

Start earlyMorning departures beat the heat and crowds—aim for a pre-10:00 AM pickup for cooler walking and better light.

Bring small cashMany souk vendors prefer cash for small purchases and bargaining; carry small-denomination UAE dirham.

Dress respectfullyWear shoulders- and knee-covering clothing when visiting mosques and traditional neighborhoods to respect local customs.

Stay hydratedEven short tours in Dubai can be hot; drink the provided bottled water and carry extras if you’re prone to dehydration.

Recommended gear

Comfortable walking shoes: Supportive shoes help on uneven souk alleys and brief walking at viewpoints.
Sunscreen and hat: Sun protection is critical for midday heat and reflective surfaces near the coast.
Light layers or shawl: A light layer is useful for early mornings, mosque visits, and air-conditioned vehicles.
Small daypack: Carries water, purchases, and documentation while keeping hands free for photos and bargaining.
