Dubai Frame and Marina Dhow Dinner Cruise: Skyline Views, Glass Walkway & Evening Buffet

THE ADVENTURE COLLECTIVE® · Independent discovery and booking for outdoor travel

Read the full experience

The sun slides low over Dubai as glass and steel sharpen into silhouettes; from the elevated ribbon of the Dubai Frame the modern skyline compels the eye north, while the older creek-side neighborhoods open out like pages of history. Later, the dhow eases away from the Marina, lights reflecting on water that seems to push forward in soft, brisk wakes, and the city unspools in a different direction: approachable, audible, warm.

Local insights

Western reef heron and coastal gulls around the marina

History

The Dubai Frame opened in 2018 as a deliberate urban landmark designed to 'frame' views of old and new Dubai; its galleries trace rapid development from a trading settlement to a global city.

Conservation

Respect designated walkways in Zabeel Park and use onboard waste bins—coastal waterways and bird habitats near the creek are sensitive to litter and light pollution.

Adventure tips

Time your visit for golden hourBook the Dubai Frame slot 60–90 minutes before sunset to catch daylight, sunset, and nighttime city lights in one visit.

Watch the glass bridge if you’re uneasyThe glass floor is secure but exposed—stand near the solid balustrade or avoid the glass section if you have vertigo.

Bring a light layer for the dhowEvenings on the upper deck can be breezy; a light windbreaker keeps you comfortable without packing bulky gear.

Hydrate and pace the buffetBuffets are generous—hydrate beforehand and choose lighter options if you plan to walk on the museum level afterward.

Recommended gear

Sunglasses and sunscreen: Strong midday sun and reflective glass surfaces make UV protection important.
Comfortable flat shoes: Stable footwear helps on ramps, the glass walkway, and when boarding the dhow.
Light windbreaker or shawl: A thin layer is useful for cooler evenings on the boat’s open deck.
Small daypack or crossbody: Carries water, camera, and essentials without getting in the way during boarding.
