The sun slides low and the desert exhales: the dune crests glow like burnished copper while a column of 4x4s threads a route across wind-carved ridges. Guests trade the city’s linear skyline for an uneven horizon where sand moves like a living thing, daring you to follow the next crest.
moderate.
6–7 hours.
Suitable for travelers in average fitness; must be able to mount camels, climb dune crests and handle short ATV bursts.
ATV is offered as an optional component—select the ATV option to receive a 60‑minute self‑drive slot; other packages still include dune bashing and camp activities.
Children under set ages have restricted ATV access; guests with back, heart conditions or pregnancy are advised not to join high-impact elements like roller‑coaster dune rides.
Most standard packages provide non‑alcoholic beverages; alcohol availability varies by operator and local regulations—confirm when booking if desired.
Tours may be canceled or rescheduled for safety in strong winds or rain—operators usually offer full refunds if canceled at least 24 hours prior.
The route and camp recall Bedouin hospitality and camel-based trade that shaped Emirati nomadic life; modern safaris adapt these elements for tourism.
Dune ecosystems are fragile—stay on designated routes, avoid littering, and respect wildlife; choose operators who limit vehicle tracks and practice waste removal.
