Adventure tips

Stay hydratedCarry a reusable water bottle and sip regularly—desert evenings dry you out faster than you think.

Protect from the sunBring broad-spectrum sunscreen and a wide-brim hat; UV is strong even in late afternoon.

Wear sturdy shoesClosed-toe shoes or trail sneakers make walking on loose sand and getting on camels much easier.

Respect cultural normsDress modestly at the camp and ask before photographing performers or locals to maintain courtesy.

Recommended gear

Closed-toe shoes: Keeps sand out and provides traction when walking on dunes and getting on camels.
Sunscreen & sunglasses: High SPF and UV-protective shades guard against strong desert sun during transit and at the camp.
Light jacket or shawl: Evening temperatures can drop after sunset—use a layer for comfort around the campfire.
Spare phone battery or camera battery: Cold or heat and lots of photos drain power quickly; bring a backup for sunset shots.
