moderate.
10–12 hours.
Suitable for most travelers with basic mobility; expect short walks on sand, some standing at camp, and tolerance for bumps during dune bashing.
Pickup is typically mid‑afternoon (around 15:30) to reach the desert for late afternoon light; exact time is confirmed at booking.
Operators use experienced drivers and seatbelts, but the ride is intentionally dynamic; follow crew safety briefings and remain seated during maneuvers.
Yes—buffet dinners on both the desert camp and dhow cruise include vegetarian and non‑vegetarian options and commonly follow halal preparation.
Many operators provide wheelchair‑accessible pickup and lower-deck access on dhows, but desert mobility is limited; check with the provider about specific support needs before booking.
The dhow cruise follows waterways that were central to Dubai’s pearling and trading economy; desert camps reference Bedouin hospitality customs repackaged for visitors.
Operators advise minimizing single‑use plastic in camps and staying on established tracks to protect fragile dune crusts; support providers that treat camels ethically.
