Driver’s Choice Mystery Bus Trip from New Stanton — Surprise Day Tour (6/3/2026)

On a weekday in early June, Carrie’s Bus Tours stages a different kind of escape: Bus # 2 — Driver’s Choice Mystery Trip departs from New Stanton, Pennsylvania, and promises a full day of surprises across southwestern Pennsylvania’s varied landscapes. You’ll gather at one of three pickup points—5:00am at Martin’s in Connellsville, 5:45am at Walmart in Greensburg, or 6:30am at Kohl’s in Monroeville—and settle into a deluxe motorcoach for a roundtrip outing planned by a local driver named George, who picks the secret destination. The package includes deluxe motorcoach transportation, breakfast bars and juice on the bus, snacks and bottled water, a light bag lunch, and the driver tip—small comforts that keep the day moving while you watch ridgelines, rivers, and small towns roll by. Estimated returns are late evening, so expect a long, full day: the schedule lists returns between 9:30pm and 10:30pm depending on pickup. Dinner on the way home is at each guest’s expense, and the company requests that people bring a bit of spending money for optional purchases at stops. Because the route is a mystery, the trip works best for travelers who love the spontaneous: families, multigenerational groups, and anyone who prefers to show up and be led. The region served by these runs—part of the Laurel Highlands and the Allegheny Plateau—offers a mix of folded ridges, sandstone outcrops, river valleys like the Youghiogheny, and forested state parks; those features make for satisfying roadside vistas and short walking options should George choose a stop with light trails or a waterfall. Wildlife commonly seen along these corridors includes white‑tailed deer and red‑tailed hawks; spring wildflowers and oak-hickory forest dominate the understory.
