The operator offers four main trips: Ngongotaha Ultimate Express (return from Ngongotaha), Ngongotaha Ultimate Express (return from Mamaku), Mamaku Scenic Rail Tour (one way from Mamaku), and Mamaku Scenic Rail Tour (one way from Ngongotaha). Each experience places guests in a self-drive RailCruiser that travels at a relaxed 20 km/hr, delivering 360-degree views of lakes, forests, farmland and steep tracks.
Rail Cruising provides clear safety briefings, pre-ride instruction, and well-maintained vehicles. Vehicles are designed for easy driving by passengers with a valid driver’s licence; staff oversee track access and logistics.
