Along the route you’ll pause at Stanthorpe for morning tea on the platform and time to browse the onsite markets before a boxed lunch is served on board as the train moves on to Ballandean. At Ballandean the locomotive changes ends, giving passengers the option to disembark and stretch their legs in wine country before rejoining for the scenic return.

The Granite Belt’s coarse-grained rock forms bare ridges and unusual tors; below them lie orchards and boutique wineries that have made Ballandean and Stanthorpe popular stops for food and wine lovers.
