Intro to Winging

What You’ll Learn on Boards with Fins (not foils)

  • Wing handling, steering and getting underway
  • Stance and wing trim
  • 180 turns
  • Staying upwind, riding the board’s fins

Are You Ready? Yes, if you’ve taken a Wing Surfing lesson and can stay upwind. This class targets riders who have already dialed in their wing handling, and are inspired to take flight riding a foil. Board, wing, leash, wetsuit and PFD provided

  • Students may enroll an additional friend in this class to join them and save $50 on booking.

What You’ll Learn

  • This class meets entry level and intermediate riders at their experience level, and goes from there.
  • First timers may start this class in our Hook pond on boards with fins (not foils).
  • New foilers will start on the Hook’s sandbar.
  • All gear is provided, and this class allows fast swaps as you progress. Are You Ready? Yes! Newcomers and intermediates are welcome! Maximize your time with an instructor to supercharge progression. Whether you’re a first timer, or a fledgling flyer, this class puts you on a smooth flight path — drawing from our entire school fleet. Boards, wing, foil, leashes, wetsuit, PFD, and booties provided
