TAKE A WALK! No, seriously… take a walk—an award-winning alpaca walk!

Buddy up with your alpaca companion and set off on a leisurely stroll through the beautiful country fields. Alpacas are naturally anxious creatures, so this walk encourages you to relax, ground yourself, tune into your body, and just be in the moment—a skill we’re sadly losing touch with. Each alpaca has its own unique personality, giving you the chance to bond with your buddy, take plenty of photos, feed them, and maybe even share your thoughts (don’t worry—they won’t judge)! Note: One alpaca is shared between 2 people. If there is an odd number of people you may be asked to buddy up with another guest.

NEW WINTER EXCLUSIVE: the winter experience concludes in the farm store with a hot beverage and hands-on learning about alpaca fiber and how it’s turned into yarn.

Important Information

  • Age Requirement: This experience is for ages 14 and up. Guests aged 14–16 must be accompanied by an adult. No exceptions.
  • Behavior Guidelines: Alpacas are naturally anxious and sensitive to quick movements or grabbing. Participants must remain calm and follow the facilitator’s rules.
  • Physical Requirements: This experience is not recommended for individuals who cannot walk long distances on uneven terrain. The path has no shade or seating available.

Please Note: If the minimum number of 4 participants is not reached for the day and time you have booked, you may be asked to reschedule.

The walk goes ahead in light rain just dress accordingly. If it is heavy rain/wind/thunderstorms you will be rescheduled or provided a credit per our policy below

How to Prepare

  • Dress for the Weather: Wear warm, layered clothing, as this is an outdoor activity. A waterproof outer layer is recommended in case of snow or rain.
  • Choose Appropriate Footwear: Sturdy, insulated boots with good traction are essential for walking on uneven, potentially icy ground.
  • Bring Gloves and Hats: Keep your hands and head warm with weather-appropriate gear. Alpacas are curious, so avoid dangling accessories.

Cancellation Policy

Please note in order to create the best experience for our guests and our animals we have limited numbers in each experience. It is very difficult to rebook a last-minute cancellation and so we have instituted a fair cancellation policy that we need to adhere to.

  • Customers will receive full credit (less booking system processing fee) in case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances that are out of our control. When a reservation is cancelled at the last minute, it becomes difficult to fill that space on short notice, resulting in lost opportunities for both other guests and our small business. This policy allows us to maintain the quality of our experiences while being fair to all visitors.
  • If we cancel, we’ll provide full credit for cancellations due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
  • Full refund/credit (minus processing fee) if cancelled 5+ days in advance.
  • 50% refund/credit (minus processing fee) if cancelled 2-4 days in advance.
  • No refund/credit for cancellations within 48 hours or no-shows.
