Cart Ride
Please Note: Max 400 lbs per cart ride. The cart cannot support a person who weighs more than 250 lbs. If group is too large for one cart ride, 2 separate rides can be taken.
1.5 hours (between 1 - 2 hours depending on the weather and number of people)
One Morning Tour Daily: Reed Hare Ranch at 8:30am (June - August)
One Evening Tour Daily: Navajo State Park between 4-6 pm depending on the time of sunset (April - November)
You don't have to wait until winter to experience the excitement of dogsledding! Ride in the cart pulled by your own team of enthusiastic Alaskan Huskies through the spectacular beauty of the Blanco Basin or Navajo State Park near Pagosa Springs. Involve yourself in all aspects of the excursion from learning about the equipment to harnessing and hooking up the dogs. Two adults and two small children can sit comfortably in the cart. (400 pound limit) There must be at least one adult in the cart. If you have more than two adults, the cart can go along the trail twice.
Our dogs are passionate about pulling. They naturally want to run fast and pull hard. Consequently, we have to limit the distances in the summer. The trip covers approximately three miles.
