Operated by Aqua Donut · Docklands, Victoria
Morning light slices across Victoria Harbour and a round, low-profile Aqua Donut bobs like a deliberate island in the Docklands. You step aboard with a mess of friends, the gas BBQ already set into the center ring while an electric motor whispers at the stern; the city’s glass facades tilt across the water and gulls wheel overhead.
easy.
2 hours.
Low fitness required — guests should be able to stand and move on a small floating platform for short periods.
No licence is required; the vessel runs on an electric motor limited to 9 KPH and is operated under the host’s safety rules.
The platform seats up to 10 passengers comfortably for the two-hour hire.
No—for safety guests tie up at the designated yellow buoy during the BBQ portion and cruising beyond the permitted route is not allowed.
All sales are final per the operator; BBQ use is not allowed above 40°C, and guests should confirm any extreme-weather procedures directly with the provider.
Docklands was redeveloped from former wharves and industrial yards beginning in the 1990s, transforming shallow bay flats into mixed-use waterfront precincts.
Keep waste contained and avoid feeding waterbirds; the sheltered harbour and nearby mangrove fringes are sensitive to litter and disturbance.
Aqua Donut operates guided outdoor trips and adventures with an emphasis on safety, stewardship, and memorable experiences.
