About This Adventure

Enhance your boating skills in this hands-on clinic, where expert instructors guide you through controlled departures and docking techniques. Learn vital concepts like prop walk and crew communication, all while gaining confidence in various weather conditions and crowded waters. Perfect for those with a basic cruising background looking to elevate their sailing prowess.

Our Instructors will take you through the steps required to make controlled departures and dock arrivals including springing off and backing in. You will understand the dynamics of prop walk, prop wash, boat speed and momentum, line handling and crew communication.

Regardless of the weather conditions and when there are other boats close at hand, this clinic will build your confidence as a skipper.

Prerequisite: US Sailing Basic Cruising or equivalent
