PADI Open Water Diver Course Online

The most popular option is the PADI Open Water Diver Course with E-learning! As a new diver you can do the E-learning at home before you come to Taormina Sicily so you are already prepared and know the basics of dive theory. The E-learning part of PADI includes all theory, quizzes and exam. Once you are in Sicily we will review the theory and there is time to ask questions, talk about the different aspects of diving with the instructor and have the chance to interact with the other students to share your first experiences under water! When you will be certified, you are allowed to dive to a maximum depth of 18 meters together with a buddy or a PADI Dive Professional. This certification is valid for life!

Course Details

• Our first time under water will be in the swimming pool of the UNAHOTEL Naxos Beach in Giardini-Naxos Taormina. This way you can get used to breathing underwater and your buoyancy in a comfortable environment. You practice different skills in order to get used to the equipment, the breathing and the weightlessness we call buoyancy. This takes a half a day.

• After the swimming pool we will practice everything you learned…. but this time in the Open Water at the Isola Bella Marine Park in Taormina! Here it all really starts! The sea will reveal it’s mysteries to you when you put on your mask, breathe from your regulator and descend together with your Instructor and your buddies. The first 2 dives are to a maximum depth of 12 meters and the last 2 dives will be at a maximum depth of 18 meters. You will do 2 dives a day, during our daily dive program.

• For 12-14 years olds, we also offer the Junior Open Water Diver Course in Taormina. The course is the same as the normal course. The Junior Open Water Diver must always dive with an adult certified diver, and a parent/guardian has to sign all the administrative forms.
