The NAUI Instructor Training Course (ITC) is designed to train and qualify NAUI Instructor member applicants. During the course candidate instructors learn effective methods to teach skin and scuba diving in compliance with NAUI diving course standards.
The course assures the NAUI membership that candidates who receive certification as NAUI Instructors have the knowledge, skills, fitness and proper attitude to do so.
Mask, Snorkel, Fins, Booties or Socks, 3mm or 5mm Gloves. Full Scuba gear: BCD, regulator, computer / timing device, compass, cutting tool, audible/visual device, SMB.

Minimum Age - 18 years old
Current certification as a NAUI Assistant Instructor or NAUI Divemaster or other agency leaders.
Nitrox certification
Current certification in NAUI First Aid for the Diving Professional or equivalent.
A minimum of 60 logged dives with a minimum of 30 hours bottom time. Dives shall be varied in environment, depth, and activities.
Signed medical approval within the last 12 months
Ensure all dive gear is inspected and functioning before each session to maintain safety and effectiveness underwater.
Proper hydration helps prevent decompression sickness and keeps you energized during training days.
Avoid touching or disturbing sea creatures and kelp to protect the ecosystem and ensure your safety.
The instructor course is intensive; rest well between sessions to maximize learning and performance.
