Our beginner friendly guided snowshoeing trip takes you through the snow-cowered old forests of the Pyhä-Luosto National Park.
We start with a car transportation from our office and the tour starts from near Pyhä ski resort.
Includes winter gear and snowshoes and poles for the duration of the trip, and warm drinks.
Wear moisture-wicking base layers with insulating mid-layers to stay warm and dry on cold winter trails.
Snowshoes help traverse deep snow, but icy patches can still be slippery—move steadily and use poles for balance.
Cold weather can mask dehydration; bring water or enjoy the warm drinks provided after the hike.
Look and listen quietly—you might spot the Siberian jay or other native birds during your trek.
Pyhä-Luosto National Park was established in 2005 to protect the ancient fells and old-growth forests that have remained largely unchanged for thousands of years.
