Combine your travel to Santorini with Thirassia private tour!
SantoriniExperts will pick you up from your hotel or villa and our transfer bus will leave us at the port of Ammoudi, where the shuttle boat takes us to Korfos. Our first stop is at Manolas village. You have the opportunity to ride on the back of a donkey up the 300 steps to the tavern Panorama, where we will get a little rest. While having your first refreshments, you can admire the unique panoramic view, as you can see all over the caldera and the volcanic islands.
After the short rest we wander through the main village of Manolas, exploring the traditional cave house built in the porous pumice stone that covers Santorini and Thirassia. We also get to see the school of the island. We continue hiking along tomato fields and vine yards and you will gain useful knowledge about the agriculture and the art of wine making. At the end of the path we discover a hidden cave house village and its beautiful church of Virgin Mary, which we are able to visit.
Filled with all this unique beauty of the island, you will taste now a traditional home-cooked Greek meal, served in an old canava accompanied by the priests’ house made wine before we will be transferred to the port of Riva. We will have time for a little swim or a coffee there, before we go back by the shuttle boat to the port of Ammoudi where our ride to the hotel already awaits us.
