In this walking tour we'll discover the history and importance of the historical suburb of Seville. We'll learn about history, architecture, folklore and gastronomy of this emblematic area.
The first church built after the Christian conquest, the splendour of Seville as Port of America or the dark times of the Inquisition are some of the topics we'll be discussing during this historical walk. Since ancient times Triana has been home of many craft guilds that have survived until nowadays too.
Triana is the greatest exponent of popular folklore in the city. We'll focus on this cosmopolitan suburb, immerse into the Andalusian gypsy culture and get to know the origins of flamenco in what for many is its birthplace. Home of bullfighters, Flamenco artists, sailors and craftmen Triana is a city in itself, looking across the river to Seville.
After about 1.5 hours of walking tour we'll finish by the river shore, where many Flamenco venues are located.
