About This Adventure

Personal lesson with one of our skilled beekeepers in a live hive of bees.

Duration: 1 hour max

Our hands-on Beekeeping Lesson is the fastest and most efficient way to gain the basic skills and knowledge to become a beekeeper. Come early and purchase protective gear if needed; rental gear is available. You will learn about beekeeping tools, hive equipment, and basic bee biology. As you work hives alongside our Bee Expert you will learn to assess and know what actions to take when working your bees. You can chat with your beekeeper to see where you are in your beekeeping journey, and get custom information and experiences to further your beekeeping skills and knowledge!

  • Please Wear: light clothing (for high heat days), pants and long sleeves, closed toe shoes
  • Please Do Not Wear: perfumes/cologne, dark/fuzzy clothing, high-heeled or open toed shoes, or shorts. -Please Do Not Bring: pets or small children that do not have a ticket or are not able to participate independently.
  • Please be on time by planning to arrive early - 5-min grace period for live hive events.
  • Please Bring: Protective gear (if you own your own), or you may purchase your own set at our store or rent one of our loaner suits. Water bottle. Camera. Questions!
