The Trip: It is a private customised snorkeling trip, depending on travelers’ preferences and time availability.
The water is usually crystal clear and snorkelling along this rugged coastline, with sea caves and rock formations, in light blue waters, is a great experience.
Pickup time: Lovers' Bridge is the meeting place. Otherwise if travellers would like a free ride in our private car from Larnaca it is at 09:00.
Pickup location: The guide as a rule can offer a free ride (from an agreed place eg hotel, no ports or airports) from Larnaca. It should be clear that guiding time starts when the guide meets the travellers.
Itinerary: We enter from Glyky Nero beach and snorkel east along the Agia Napa Sea Caves, including Lovers' Bridge, and back. If the sea is calm (it usually is before eleven during the summer season), we snorkel inside two to four of the sea caves.
Then we snorkel (usually either around Konnos beach or Green Bay) and hopefully for sea turtle spotting (very likely in summer).
The snorkeling route: Along Agia Napa Sea Caves (1+ km / 1 mi) (from Glyky Nero beach going east and back)
Then we visit Konnos beach, where we snorkel, especially for sea turtle spotting.
Transportation: The package doesnot include transportation. If travellers are interested, the guide is usually able to offer them a free ride in the company's private car from Larnaca (not from ports or airports).
Guiding the snorkeling trip The use of a mask and snorkel
Food & drinks Fins (as a rule we do not use them, if travellers have and want to use them, the guide will probably follow) Transportation (the guide may offer participants a free ride. This is not a taxi service and the vehicle holds a private car insurance). It should be noted that guiding time starts at the time the guide meets the travellers. Wetsuit
Confirmation will be received at time of booking Not recommended for participants with heart complaints or other serious medical conditions. Travelers can present either a paper or an electronic voucher for this activity A wetsuit is recommended before June and after September.
In case of forecasted choppy sea along the Agia Napa Sea Caves, instead, we snorkel only around East Cape Greko (if the weather is expected to be bad everywhere, we cancel the trip).
It should be noted that Phivos is a licenced diver, has lifeguarding and first aid training, he is a guide for kayaking trips, a speedboat driver. He also attended a sailing course. He is involved in underwater photography and is a Cyprus native (and walking guide) who has written travel books on Cyprus.
A wet suit is recommended before June and after September. Drinking water (though one could buy in Agia Napa). Sun protection, bathing suite, towels (especially if the guide would give travellers a free ride).
Protect Cyprus’s fragile marine ecosystem by using reef-safe sunscreen before snorkeling.
Rocky shores and slippery cave entrances make water shoes a smart choice for safe footing.
Bring plenty of water to stay hydrated during the 6-hour tour under the Mediterranean sun.
Listen carefully to ensure safety and to enhance your wildlife spotting experience.
Cape Greko was designated a protected national forest park in 1992 to preserve its unique marine and terrestrial habitats.
The tour emphasizes sustainable snorkeling practices and supports local efforts to protect endangered sea turtle populations and marine biodiversity.
Essential for exploring underwater caves and spotting sea turtles with ease.
