Have you ever wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater, but don’t feel quite ready to launch yourself into a PADI course, or you don’t have much time? The Discover Scuba Diving Program will let you try diving and find out if it’s something you enjoy.

We conduct this program in the shallow parts at the Isola Bella Marine Park Taormina (confined water). After a detailed briefing about dive equipment and basic theory, you have the chance to dive under direct guidance of a PADI Dive Professional to a maximum of 6 meters.

During this experience you learn how to use the scuba equipment and get an easy introduction into the underwater world. If you enjoyed the Discover Scuba Dive and want to try more, you can do a second dive to a maximum depth of 12 meters.

Daily Program

8:00: Welcome, Equipment Preparation We gather at our Dive Resort situated at the Hotel Naxos Beach (Giardini-Naxos) where we will welcome you with tea and coffee and prepare all dive equipment. Free transfer to the harbor

9:00: Departure from the Harbor We will leave with our boats to the Isola Bella Marine Park in Taormina where we will do 2 dives. During the navigation we tell you all the stories about the area and show you the Marine Park and the Blue Cave.

09:30: First Dive Max 6 meters (elaborated briefing with signals and explanation of equipment, breathing technique and equalization, basic skills at the beginning of the dive).

11:00: Navigation to other dive spot Between dives we will have a nice break next to Isola Bella which offers us a beautiful view of this marvellous island (sea conditions permitted). During the break we offer a selection of fresh fruit, iced tea and water. There is also the possibility to go to the toilet.

11:30: Second Dive Easy and fun dive - max. 12 meters.

12:30: Sicilian wine and biscuits After diving, we offer a tasteful Sicilian wine and almond biscuits on board. We also have relaxing music on board and our crew will create a nice atmosphere.

13:00: Return

• All our activities are guided by our dive professionals. • The times may vary a bit due to activities that day, low or high season.

Course Details

• You can complete the ‘PADI Discover Scuba Diving’ program during our daily diving tour at the Isola Bella Marine Park Taormina. • The skills you learn during your Discover Scuba Diving experience will count towards the PADI Scuba Diver certification or Open Water Diver certification • You’ll discover what it feels like to breathe underwater and how easy it becomes after a few minutes. • You learn some basic skills and safety rules that, when you decide to take the next step, you will need for your full certification course. • Your Discover Scuba Diving experience in Taormina includes all necessary equipment. The minimum age for Discover Scuba Diving is 10 years old.
