About

If you want to try scuba diving but aren't quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, then Discover Scuba Diving is for you. While not a certification course, Discover Scuba Diving is a quick and easy introduction to explore the underwater world.

Get ready to:

• Go over the scuba equipment you use to dive and how easy it is to move around underwater with your gear.
• Find out what it's like to breathe underwater.
• Learn key skills that you'll use during every scuba dive.
• Have fun swimming around and exploring.
• Hear about becoming a certified diver through the PADI Open Water Diver course.

You can start now by booking your Discover Scuba Diving course online or by calling the dive shop at (305) 451-3252 and booking over the phone with one of our booking specialists.

We offer this program as a combination of a pool session + a 2-tank boat dive (guided by an instructor) OR as a pool session only.

To enroll in this course,

1. Students MUST be at least 10 years or older.
2. Students should be able to swim and in good physical shape. This is defined as being able to swim in the ocean without assistance from others or flotation devices for extended periods/distances.
3. Students must complete the PADI medical questionnaire and if necessary, see a physician to confirm you are fit to dive. View PADI Diver Medical Questionnaire HERE

• No prior experience with scuba diving is required.
• Divers are REQUIRED to wait 18 hours after scuba diving before flying on a plane.

What will Silent World provide?

• Friendly and Experienced PADI Instructor: Our delightful crew will take care of each student, making sure they feel comfortable and safe throughout the course.
• All the scuba related equipment you need for the duration of the course: Mask, Snorkel, Fins, 3mm Wetsuit, Buoyancy Control Device (BCD), Regulator, Air Tanks and Weights.
